Three years studying for my Ph.D. trained me to look between the lines, quickly and efficiently, and strip away everything but the important stuff. As a copywriter, I use that laser-focus to cut through the white noise and find out exactly how to frame your message. I've written copy for organisations as diverse as dance companies, electronics manufacturers and children's literary events. Every client is an opportunity to grow my knowledge, and I live for that buzz.

Putting down roots far from home meant that I had to adapt to other ways of engaging. Different norms of communication.
